Letter from the new president
Dear Countrywood Residents
I am honored to be serving as your president in the upcoming years. I am excited about the opportunities we have to continue to make our neighborhood a great place to live and raise a family. Over the coming year, the Board will take on several initiatives to make our neighborhood even better.
I believe that the central focus of our homeowner's association has to be to maintain and improve property values for our residents. To that end we are committed to focusing our resources on projects that will further that goal. Some of the ideas that I believe will get us to that end are improving our involvement in our school district to help make them 'top of class' for the City of Memphis school system, strict covenants enforcement, and developing a stronger neighborhood sense of community. I look forward to discussing some of these ideas in detail at our next homeowner's meeting on March 11th, 2010 at 7 pm at Colonial Country Club.
The key with any of these initiatives, however, is that we need your help! The 10 people that make up the board cannot do this alone. Everyone that owns a home in Countrywood has a vested interest in improving property values. As such, I would like to call on each of you to come to the meeting, bring your ideas for how we can improve, and volunteer to help implement those Ideas. We will need committee chairs, committee participants, mentors, etc. to help make these positive changes to benefit us all.
Last, but not least, I want to thank Donna McCraw for her service and leadership over the last few years as the CNA President. She has done an excellent job in ensuring that our neighborhood continues to be a great place to live and I am grateful for her efforts.
I look forward to meeting each of you at the meeting.
Markus Winkler, your CNA President
